| Personal History | James Wesley grew up in a small town in south Texas. His father, Arnold Wesley after leaving Starfleet Marines used what benefits he had and bought a small farm for cattle. While James’ father was not the most kindest person in the world, it made James the person he is today. In his high school years James fell in love with two things, the stars and Brittney. Brittney, who was just in love with stars forced James to be better at school in hopes they could join Starfleet together. It was after high school graduation they both shipped out for Starfleet in San Francisco. While there first two years was nothing but basic courses, survival, and the threats of space, most of their class dwindled down to less than half after much of them decided two more years of advance study were not worth it and went enlisted. Brittney had decided from the beginning that she want to go into the science of temporal anamily and research. James on the other hand couldn't figure out a particular major he would be good at. Will he picked up the identity of cadets around him as a pirate than a Starfleet officer, Starfleet picked up on that as well and help choose for him. in their third year Brittney started her classes in temporal research. James on the other hand was sent to the moon of Titan to the Titan Advanced Research Facility, unknown to him at the time, it was the premier Intelligence Academy and while the enlisted courses were only a few weeks long to a particular skill, James was a year long and covered every skill plus officer leadership and how at an officers level how Intelligence works and is managed. After a year James and Brittney were reunited and sent to the U.S.S. Pioneer for their Fourth year abroad study. The ship while mostly helping with fleet wide war games allowed for real experience to grow. It was also when James and Brittney were married by Admiral William Task, Commanding officer of the Pioneer. While they were allowed to return to earth for a weekend of honeymoon time, Starfleet needed them once again. After graduation the couple were sent to the U.S.S. Apache, an Akira class vessel in the Beta Quadrant. James was assigned as Assistant Chief of Intelligence and Brittney was a science officer for Temporal Research and Analysis. It however was only a few months later that James, on an away team was captured by a species of advanced technology and light presence to Starfleet. While James was trained in not divulging information of Starfleet and Starfleet Intelligence his shipmates were not. Soon after the mind torturing begin his shipmates told their captures that James was a Intelligence Officer not a operations officer like everyone thought. James shipmates were quickly killed and all focus was on James. For 6 months James was mentally and physically tortured to the point he couldnt tell the difference between holo and reality. Starfleet then bargained for his release where he was sent back to earth, nearly dead. Starfleet questioned him for several weeks wanting to know what information was shared. They knew he passed torture training with high marks and with a tough father he already was tough as they came. During his training at Starfleet, some Intelligence go through Marine Special Forces school to understand the risks and realism of being integrated. Not only are you learning basic combat but during your trials you are captured by real Marines and tortured for usually a week. You either pass or fail, most failed and washed to become analysts but those who pass move up quickly. After recovery James and Brittney were reunited and posted on the U.S.S. Alabama. |
