| Personal History | Andrea was born in 2364 on board the starship Oberon. It was near the end of the open hostilities in the Cardassian war and the Oberon was on patrol near the border. A simple misunderstanding resulted on open conflict and the Oberon was heavily damaged. Both of Andrea’s parents experienced what would be fatal injuries. Her parents, not having any close relatives, asked the Second Officer, A’galit Fril to take their child in and he agreed. Fril was soon to retire and he raised Andrea on Andor. Andrea grew up as one of the few humans in her school. She did well in her studies and was accepted to Starfleet Academy on her first attempt.
