Mission Summary

Based on reports from 16 years ago, Captain Janeway and the crew of the Voyager accidentally find a subspace corridor. A Turei commander helps the Voyager to get out of the corridor and follows them out. Once out of the corridor, the Turei commander opens fire on the Voyager when Janeway refuses his request to board the ship to erase evidence of the corridor from the Voyager's core. To get away from the Turei ships that were firing on them, Janeway orders a landing on a nearby planet whose radiogenic particles will effectively hide them from their pursuers sensors.

While on the planet, members of the Voyager's crew found the Vaadwaur in stasis tubes and reanimate a number of the Vaadwaur. Once reanimated, the Vaadwaur first attack the Voyager in an attempt to obtain their technology before they go on the defensive when the Turei start attacking them. As the Voyager escapes into one of the corridor's, their sensors show that approximately 53 Vaadwaur fighters also escaped into the corridors. Future contact is suspected because of the number of Vaadwaur fighters who escaped.

In the 16 years since the Crew of the USS Voyager last saw the Vaadwaur they have been busy setting up a trading and commerce Empire via the use of the Underspace. With their new homeworld location unknown the Vaadwaur have set up shop on trading stations and outposts throughout the area charging a pretty penny to transport people and good quickly and safely.
