Returning to Iota Command

Mission: Shakedown Cruise
Location: Transporter Room/Captain's Ready Room

Transporter Room 2:

"Captain Amardeon, it has been a pleasure meeting you and I look forward to future relations between our two governments." Andreas said, extending his hand.

Taking the offered hand, Captain Amardeon nodded. "I agree Commander, thank you for your hospitality. When we meet again, it's my turn to host you and your crew. Nothing formal, mind you, but something to help our crews get better acquainted."

"Thank you, Captain, we'll be sure to look you up the next time we're out this way." Andreas replied.

Captain Amardeon and his crew members strode onto the transporter pad, giving Andreas a quick nod when they were in position.

Turning to the Transporter Chief, "Energize, Chief."

Once the Ankarian Captain and his crew were gone, Andreas headed back to his ready room.

Captain's Ready Room

Andreas signed off on all of the reports his senior staff had submitted. To say he was impressed with their performance on their shakedown cruise would be an understatement. They all seemed to gel with each other and put their nose to the grindstone when needed. "The crew definitely earned their Ankari system awards so far." He thought to himself.

"Go ahead, Ensign." Andreas replied.

=/\= Incoming message from Iota Command for you, sir. =/\=

"Patch it through, Ensign." Andreas said as he waited for the channel to open.

=/\= Commander O'Shaunessy, I am Lieutenant Commander Jameson from Iota Command. You've been recalled to Iota Command with new orders. =/\=

Andreas' eyebrows furrowed. "Do you know what our new orders are Commander?"

=/\= No, sir. You're to report to the command centre once you've returned to base. =/\=

"Understood." Andreas replied as he closed the channel.

Andreas got up, straightened his uniform and went out onto the bridge. "Lieutenant Amedemarco, lay in a course to Iota Command."

"Aye, sir." The helmsman answered. "We should be there in 39.5 hours."

"Thank you." Andreas replied, looking around the bridge. "And thanks to all of you. You've made me proud." Before anyone had a chance to respond, Andreas went back into the ready room to finish his reports.
