Time to Reflect

Looking up at the ceiling in reflection, Andreas opened a personal log.

"I have to say the crew worked incredibly well together on our shakedown cruise. It was reasonably uneventful, but the crew handled everything that came our way with efficiency and gelled better than any Commander could hope for.

"The encounter with the Ankari started somewhat tensely, but ended with a promise to meet and possibly enter into some sort of treaty between the Ankari and the Federation. I'm confident that the two parties can come to some sort of understanding.

"We're back at Iota and the Engineering Corps has already started swapping out our Mission POD. Worst case scenario, it will take them 7 days to swap it out, but they've assured me that they don't expect it to last more than 5.

"I was a bit surprised to be called into the brass' office after speaking with the Engineers as I'd thought I'd crossed every T and dotted every I and thought I'd been specific enough. I was even more surprised to leave the office with a fourth pip on my collar. I hope I remember that I'll be starting each ship's log as Captain's log as opposed to ship's log like I've gotten used too.

"Well, I've rambled enough for now and should get back out on the ship to touch base with my department heads."
