Impromtu Meeting of the Captain

Mission: Shakedown Cruise
Location: USS Alabama

Skie-Cloud Quarters:

Daisy finished tossing her transporter buffer that she used as a carry-all for her stuff, uniforms and other things she couldn't be without, onto the nearest chair to be sorted out later. She glanced at the full length mirror, checking herself out.

Her hair was a bit messy from the mad dashes through the station, and now the Alabama. She scrambled over to the transporter buffer carry-all and tapped in commands with one hand as she pulled the restraining bands and hair pins from her hair, letting it tumble free.

Once her brush and combs were on the waiting tray, she grabbed them. Brushing out her hair till it shone and looking very neat. She made funny faces at her reflection, deciding whether to go with a ponytail or regulation hair bun.

"Freak it..." She muttered as she gathered her hair into a high ponytail from the crown of her head. It had the right appearance, yet very stylish.

She smoothed out the white mesh shirt she wore over a white satin slip. She nodded to herself as her eyes lowered to the too short uniform skirt. Her eyes widen at the tear in her nylons. "Oh My Sweet Deities!" Another mad scramble to remove the fleet regulation footwear and stripped off the nylons. Then another bout with the transporter buffer to bring forth another set of pantyhose to put on.

She smiled warmly as she was now ready to face the crew. She departed her quarters and gracefully moved to the bridge as if she was a model on a runway showing off the latest fashion.

Bridge:

~~ Ta-Daaa, I'm here..~~ Daisy thought to herself as she stepped from the turbo-lift onto Bridge. She took in those working and her station. The Helm. A big wide goofy ear to ear smile radiated from her face as her eyes sparkled delightfully.

Andreas was going through the latest reports on the console on the right arm of the Captain's chair. Feeling a strain in his neck, he knew it was time to get up and walk it off a bit. Turning towards the aft turbolift, he noticed a young officer that he couldn't place right away. After a few seconds, it clicked.

"Lieutenant Skie-Cloud. Welcome to the Alabama!" He said extending his hand.

"Greeting My-Lord Admiral!" Skie-Cloud gave a quick curtsy and then shook his hand. Still smiling a bit. "I do apologize for missing initial departure at the Helm. Trouble at Blupers." Like it was a moot point, since she was here. "What shift would you like me to cover? Or the Captain's Yacht?" Her brown eyes sparkled with flecks of gold in the ambient light of the bridge as she resumed looking over the Bridge set-up, before settling upon him again.

Andreas chuckled at the enthusiasm. "We're somewhat informal here, Lieutenant, a simple 'Commander' or 'sir' will do. You'll be on the Alpha shift with the rest of the senior staff. As much as I'd like to take the yacht out regularly, we'll keep that for special occasions or when I need to get off for some time away." Motioning towards the helm station. "The helm is yours if you want it."

"I can take it home with me?" Daisy gave another goofy grin at Andreas, showing her humor, knowing full well it was part of the ship. "I'll get up to speed quickly." She gives another curtsy and scampers to the helm station.

"Your fine," She spoke to the current helms on duty. "Just get me up to speed on what's happening?" She spoke softly to the person. She let him sit there as he briefed her on the current situation and mission. She checked the course laid in, nodding her approval as she listened. "I release you from duty. I've helm. Stand by as back up."

She switched places with the person. She adjusted the seat to her comfort. "Inform the rest of Flight Department that there will be a back up bridge pilot for all shifts." Letting him take off to fulfill the orders she gave.

Andreas smiled as Daisy took her station seamlessly. He looked forward to having her on his senior staff and the enthusiasm she'll bring to her department.
